Design, Build, Evolve

Our laboratory focuses on nucleic acid diversification with the development of artificial information systems based on a new type of nucleic acid named XNA for Xenobiotic Nucleic Acids and the study of nucleic acid diversification in the natural living world.

The Xenome team is part of the Synthetic and Systems Biology Laboratory (LiSSB) (Dir V. Pezo) of the UMR 8030 research unit (Metabolic Genomics), attached to the CEA’s François Jacob Institute of Biology. We are located at the Genoscope (Centre National de Séquençage) in Evry (30 km south of Paris). Our team benefits from a highly dynamic, interdisciplinary environment, including biologists, microbiologists, chemists, biochemists, computer scientists and bioinformaticians.
